Scanlily's New Streamline Mode Makes Organizing Easy!

One of the most common complaints we hear when we tell someone about Scanlily is, “I only need to use this for basic organizing needs. This app is too much.”

Even though it has many features, Scanlily excels at basic organizing! The free version of the app is comprehensive and catered to basic inventory creation. 

We recently released a streamline mode for straightforward inventorying. When setting up the app, you can select the “I’m using Scanlily for simple inventory or storage” option. This will pull up a streamlined workspace catered to your organizing needs. You can always switch to power user mode later to access more fields, more AI, and other options. 

Why Scanlily is superior for simple inventory projects

There are other simple moving and storage systems out there which have limited features and require a paid subscription to access the following features that Scanlily offers for free:

• Export a PDF of your inventory.

• Input inventory amounts for each item.

• View and sort your inventory in advanced ways.

Additionally, Scanlily’s unique AI features can help you create and manage your inventory with ease. You can take a photo of a shelf and have AI create an entire inventory just from that picture. • No QR stickers needed. You can add items simply by taking pictures.

• Web portal for editing and viewing your inventory.

Furthermore, you don’t need to have the app downloaded to scan Scanlily’s QR codes, so it’s easy to share with others. Our QR URLs will open in your preferred web browser. This is different from most other inventory management systems out there, which require anyone who scans the QR to have a specific app downloaded.

We have a wide range of QR labels, ranging from small 2cm labels that fit on a thumb drive to large labels for storage bins. The small QR codes scan just as easily as the big ones, but can fit on small items. We also offer label packets with different colors, which are convenient when organizing several different categories of items. You can also choose labels that have space for you to write descriptions on. With a Pro or Business subscription, you can put your own design or company logo on labels.
